Resources / Help / Account
Account defaults per product, plus optional overrides on each notification, survey or roadmap.
There is no single global Appearance page anymore. Each product owns its look: account defaults when you want one brand for everything, and optional per-item overrides when a single notification, survey or roadmap should stand out. Colors use #rrggbb hex values.
| Product | Defaults live here | Per-item override |
|---|---|---|
| Notifications | Notifications → Appearance (Widget & Page, bell, category colors) | Appearance tab on each notification — toggle “Use account defaults” off to customize |
| NPS | NPS → Settings → Appearance | One NPS configuration per account (no separate inheritance layer) |
| Surveys | Surveys → Appearance | Appearance tab on each survey — inherit by default on new surveys |
| Roadmap | Road Map → Appearance | Appearance tab on each board — inherit by default on new boards |
| Status page | Status Page → Appearance | Per status page (unchanged) |

Changing appearance needs the appearance permission. Designers have it by default. Other roles can see the settings but the Save button is disabled.
The widget is rendered in its own Shadow DOM, so your website’s CSS does not change how Hubbo looks and Hubbo’s CSS does not change your site.
Saved changes are applied to widgets already open
Appearance changes are pushed to Hubbo widgets in the admin preview straight away. On your own site, the new look is loaded the next time a page loads.
